The short version

• You can browse CGplay without an account.
• We never ask for your children’s names, birthdays, schools or photos.
• We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t use advertising trackers.
• Newsletter and reminder emails include a one-tap unsubscribe link to stop those emails.

What we collect, and why

When you just browse

Activities you save or compare without signing in are stored in your own browser, on your device. They don’t reach us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Weekend Notes (our newsletter)

Your email address, your town if you choose to share it, when you signed up, and the version of the consent you agreed to. We use it only to send Weekend Notes and to honor your choices. While sending is paused, the form saves your interest without sending email. When sending starts, you must confirm by email before receiving the newsletter. You can ask us to remove an early signup at notes@cgplay.family.

Signing in (My CGplay and Meet & Play)

Signing in uses your ChatGPT account. From that sign-in we receive an account ID and your email address. We store what you choose to save: saved places, reminder choices, your town, and, if you join Meet & Play, your community profile and posts.

Signup reminders

If you turn on reminders, we use the email from your sign-in and the timing you chose to email you before a class you marked opens for signup.

Forms you send us

Contact messages, place suggestions, corrections and business applications include what you type. Contact messages stay private. Suggested listing information may be published after review; contact details are not part of the public listing. Please don’t include children’s details, identity documents or medical information.

Keeping the site safe

To stop spam and abuse, forms use a Cloudflare security check. That check may send your IP address to Cloudflare. Our rate limiter stores a hashed identifier derived from your IP address or signed-in account ID. Limits use short time windows; expired entries are cleaned up during later activity, so the window is not a guaranteed deletion deadline.

Who helps us run CGplay

We share only what each service needs to do its job:

• OpenAI hosts the website and provides ChatGPT sign-in.
• Cloudflare manages our domain, runs the spam check and forwards email sent to our address.
• Google Gmail receives mail forwarded to our contact inbox.
• Resend delivers our emails (newsletter, confirmations and reminders).

We never give or sell your information to the businesses listed on CGplay. We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter: we retain signup and subscription records, including consent and unsubscribe status. Unsubscribing stops newsletter delivery; it does not automatically erase the original signup record. You can request deletion.
• Account saves and community posts: until you delete them or ask us to.
• Messages and applications: kept for handling your request and review history. There is no automatic deletion schedule currently; contact us to request removal.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any email with one tap.
• Turn signup reminders off in My CGplay, or from the link in any reminder.
• Delete your saved places and preferences in My CGplay, and your community profile and posts in Meet & Play.
• Ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion through our contact form or at notes@cgplay.family.

Children

CGplay is made for parents and caregivers. It isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. Accounts and Meet & Play are for adults 18 and older. If you think a child has sent us information, please tell us and we’ll delete it.

Security

We use secure connections, private storage, spam protection and limited access. No website can promise perfect security, so please share only what’s needed.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. For important changes, we’ll let newsletter subscribers know.
